Lead me Home, written by Amy K Sorrells, is a story of a young man whose father left the family. Noble has been left to care for the family farm as well as his mother and disabled older brother. Noble had dreams of moving away from home and pursuing his music but when his father left he was forced to take on the family responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Pastor James Horton has been struggling with his own issues. His wife was killed in an accident and his daughter changed as a result of this. She quit singing and seeing all her friends and started running around with kids who did not have good reputations.
This is a very good book! It is so realistic I could almost hear the milking machines and see the cows walking into the barn. I liked how the story was true to the struggles that farmers and small towns have. I appreciate how the community came together to help Noble and his family during their time of need. I really appreciate that the author showed us that pastors are normal people who go through struggles with their faith the same way we do.
I received a copy of this book from Book Club Network for an honest review.
