The Auschwitz Escape by Joel C. Rosenberg

The Auschwitz Escape, by Joel C. Rosenberg, takes place during WW2. While fiction, this story tells what it was like during the war for the Jews and those who helped them. Auschwitz is a death camp where Jews are taken. Those taken there do not realize they are taken there to die. Several men work together to plan their escapes at certain times to try to get the word out about what is really happening at this camp.

I just love reading Joel Rosenberg’s stories, they are so well written, it feels like you are actually there seeing what is happening. This at times is a hard story to read, but the suspense and mystery of the men’s escapes kept me reading to the very end. This story takes on a little twist at the end that is jumps almost 70 years into the future to bring a couple of the prisoners back to the camp. It is a very touching story. One of the things that I enjoyed most about this story was that even though the prisoners did not all have the same Christian beliefs, they worked together. I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys reading stories based during WW2.
