My Review

Crosshairs, by Patricia Bradley,is the third book in the Natchez Trace Park Rangers series. Ainsley is a ranger assigned to a murder investigation in her hometown of Natchez. Linc, a former FBI agent, is asked to help her. Ainsley and Linc have a past that they have to work through. Linc is struggling with what happened at his job as an FBI agent . And, Ainsley is dealing with a troubled relationship with her father.

This is a well written, wonderful story that starts out running and doesn’t stop. It is fast paced, filled with action, suspense and romance. This is also a great “whodoneit” story, makes it hard to put the book down. Especially since there is a second story line of who is after Ainsley’s great-aunt’s journals and why. This story focuses on issues such as trusting others, forgiving others and caring for others. While this is part of a series, and some characters and events from previous books are mentioned, this also makes a great stand alone story as well. This is a great crime series and I look forward to reading the fourth book in the series soon.
