365 Classic Bedtime Bible Stories is the perfect book to start a child on their way to taking time from each day to study from the Bible. Starting from Genesis and ending with Revelations, this book takes the majority of the Bible and makes it easy for children to understand. The illustration in this book is beautiful. The pictures are so clear and colorful and will keep the younger child’s attention while being read to. This is a great book for reading to the young child as well as a great book for the young reader .

This is a hard cover book with thicker than normal paper to help with tears from normal use. The paper is shiny to help keep it clean. The illustrations go all the way to the edge of the pages so the different colors show when the book is closed.

There are many things about this book that I really like. I like the bold font as it makes it easier to read. I like the index at the back to help the child find a specific person or event they are searching for. I love the red ribbon book mark. And, I like the very first page, being a page that the giver can write the child’s name and date of presentation. This will make a very nice gift.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

Read & Play Baby Bible

_140_245_Book.2112.cover.jpg

Who’s here? Mommy? Daddy? And Baby too? And who else watches over us and loves us every moment? Jesus, that’s who, and He is always with us?”

Do you have a little one who loves to be read too and played with? Then this book is for you! This soft cushioned, hard cover, board book has 22 different stories from the Bible, 12 from the Old Testament and 10 from the New Testament. Each story is just a few short sentences long and have play time recommendations for each story. The pages are so bright and colorful, they will keep a young child’s attention. Children will enjoy looking at the pictures of all the animals God created, that went on the boat with Noah, the shepherd’s sheep, the fish in the water, as well as kitties and puppies. Children will also get an idea of how to pray.

This is a very adorable book to share with your little one. I cannot wait to share it with my grandchild. I especially like the recommendations for interacting with the young child. I also think the pictures of all the animals will help teach a young child the names of different animals. I like how Gustavo Mazali illustrated the pictures using young children and baby animals. Many of the stories my children enjoyed are included in this book, Daniel in the Lions Den and Zacchaeus, However, there are some of the stories that a little one will not fully understand. The book appears very durable and easy to clean little finger prints off.

I received a copy of this book from Zonderkids and BookLook Bloggers and this is my honest review.

God’s Little Lambs ~Bible Stories~ is a cute cushioned hard cover book for young children. Julie Stiegemeyer has taken stories from the Bible and rewritten them in easy to understand short stories for children. There are 17 stories from the Old Testament and 18 stores from the New Testament. Each of the stories are just a few pages long and include colorful pictures, drawn by Qin Leng, that correspond with the story. At the end of each story is a small block with a little lamb and a short verse that go along with the story.

This little Bible story book starts out with explaining who God is and that God made all things. Some of the stories in this book are children’s favorites. The stories include those of Adam and Eve, Danial in the lions den, the flood, Jonah and the whale, Joshua, Joseph and Moses of the Old Testament. Stores from the New Testament include, the birth and childhood of Jesus as well as his ministry, death and resurrection.

This is a really cute book. The front of the book has a page to fill in if given as a gift. This is a wonderful book to read to little ones to help teach them the Bible stories. The author has summaries the stories so little children will understand them.

I really like this book. This book is the perfect size for little ones to hold and carry. Each of the stories is a good length to read to a toddler as well as for a young reader. I really enjoyed the short verses at the end of each story. This is a great way to help talk with the little ones about the story. Also letting the children find the little lamb is a nice way to interact with them as well. The colorful pages are also shinny so will not get dirty from children touching them. The cover is also easily cleaned and durable.

The Story Bible is written by Jan Godfrey and Paola Bertolini Grudina. The authors have taken 66 stories from the Bible and rewritten them in easy to understand language for young children. Each story is 2 pages long and has very colorful child like pictures to correspond with the story. The book starts with the creation of the world and follows throught the Bible, including stories on Noah, Moses, the birth, ministry and resurrection of Jesus.

This book is great for gift giving, as it included a place to write the child’s name in the front along with when it was given and by whom. Starter Bible, published by Tommy Nelson

_233_380_Book.1929.cover

Starter Bible is a really cute cushioned hard cover board book with 18 Bible stories summarized for a young child. Some of the traditional stories within this book are God Makes the World, Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, Daniel and the Lions and Jonah and the Whale from the Old Testament. Some of the New Testament stories include, the birth of Jesus, Bread and Fish, Jesus Calms the Sea, Jesus and the Children, The Little Man in the Tree, and the stories of Jesus death and resurrection.

This is a really cute book for an older toddler. It comes with a handle for easy carrying. This is a book to be read to children as the words are small and could be a little hard for the young reader. The book does have a Choking Hazard disclaimer on the back saying is is not for children under 3. I was discouraged with this as I think younger children would love having a book like this for a bedtime story book. The pictures are so clear and colorful. This is a great little book to have to read to children to teach them bible stories. Being a board book, it is very durable and will stand up to being carried with the child a lot. The book will also be very easy to keep clean. I am happy the book contains the stories of Daniel, Jonah, and Zacchaeus as these were some of my children’s favorites.

I Believe in Jesus by John MacArthur

_140_245_Book.1930.cover

I Believe in Jesus, written by John MacArthur, is a beautiful book written as a resource to use with children to lead them to the Lord. The picture book contains bible stories of God and creation as well as Jesus, his birth, life, death and resurrection. The book does an awesome job of explaining the three parts of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the roles they play.

The books also covers sin and forgiveness of sin. There are two words in the Bible that tell us how we can have a place in heaven. This is a gift from God and all we have to do is believe that Jesus die for us and rose again. The second is to receive Jesus as our Savior and asking for His forgiveness.

This is a wonderful book for children. The recommended age is 2 – 5 but I feel it would be helpful even for children a little older. The younger child will find the pictures very pretty. There are several Bible stories within the book as well as information to help a child understand the process of becoming a christian, all of which are very clear and easy to understand.. There are bible verses that go with each part of the story and additional bible readings to explore more about what the stories cover. This is a book that would be very nice for anyone who works with children to have for that perfect time to help a child make the decision to follow God. The explanation of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is so easy to understand.
